The Queensland Garden Show is a great example of how regional events showcase towns like Nambour while bringing valuable economic benefits to the community.

It is always a great opportunity to check out the latest in horticulture and garden design.

Our group of sixteen, members and friends, had a chilly early morning start at 6am, boarding our bus at our meeting point, Bob Jane’s T Mart on Takalvan street. We were away in good time.
Our group soon settled into travel mode, preparing to enjoy and experience yet another wonderful gardening opportunity. Lenzie joined the group at the last moment. He chose a front seat near our driver, Mike and they enjoyed good chats while travelling to Nambour, the destination of the Garden Expo.
After a couple of stops along the way, we arrived about 9.20am, in time to catch up with Costa’s presentation in the Kitchen Garden. Our group dispersed to see the various areas of their particular interests.
There was so much to look at in the exhibitor’s sections and a number of us were able to listen to a few presentations by some of the experts. Les was keen to have a photo with Costa along with some other members.

All in all, everyone enjoyed a great day, exploring all the various exhibits and learning gardening tips from the experts!
